"Monument” consists of photographs of individuals standing before landmarks along Washington Blvd. in Pasadena, California. The photographs are composites of loose memories and repossessed poses, incorporating touch (person to place, person to person) to connect memory to reality, through the past and through the present. It was my intention to document the chosen spaces for the sake of preservation, encapsulating individuals and locations, as mementos in time.
